Each set of Bata Drums come with 3 different sized drums. The largest drum is called Iya, while the medium sized one is called Itotele, and the smallest drum is Okonkolo.
Iya- This is the largest drum of the three, with Iya meaning mother in the Yoruban language. It creates the deepest tones from the three drums. The Iya drum is dedicated to Yemaya.
Itotele- This is the middle or medium sized drum, with Itotele meaning the one that follows the mother in the Yoruban language. The Itotele drum is dedicated to Ochun.
Okonkolo- This is the smallest drum from the three, with Okonkolo coming from the word Konko which means small in the Yoruban language. The Okonkolo drum is dedicated to Chango.
